Took couple hours off work as forecast looked good. Arrive at Hayling at 2pm with rain and dying wind and a good swell.

After standing around in wetsuit, gambled on wind picking up and rigged 5.8. Blobbed my way upwind and caught some waves riding them not in the straps as it was not windy enough.

Then after 20 mins wind picked up and I was planing. nice jumps and amazingly clean waves with the cross off wind on the faces, for DTL with 3-4 turns if I picked a good one. Had to come off the water as it got dark, lucky I did as wind soon died off again.

By far the best session this year with only 4 of us on the sand bar!
